Patti Phillips, 71, died unexpectedly on June 25, 2010. She was the
beloved wife of Jack Phillips, USN, who preceded her in death in 2004.
Patti’s greatest accomplishment was the love she gave to her husband, 3
children, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was a faithful
Catholic Christian and parishioner of Holy Faith Catholic Church,
Gainesville, FL.
Patti is survived by her son, Fr. John M. Phillips, Pastor of Holy Faith
Church; her son Brian Phillips and his wife Suzan of Summerville, SC,
and children Kimberly, Chelsee and Justin; her daughter Sheri Britton
and her husband James of Orange Park, FL, and children Jessica, Joseph
and Joshua and his wife Kellyann; her great grandchildren: Bryce,
Hannah, Gabriel, Hunter and Kaitlyn Carpenter; and her brothers Gary
McGill and his wife Debbie and Michael McGill.
She will be remembered for her faith, compassion, friendship, and
fondness for all things Irish.
Visitation and viewing with the family will be at Holy Faith Church on
Thursday, July 1, from 5:00 to 6:30pm, followed by a Vigil Prayer
Service at 6:30pm. The Funeral Mass will be on Friday, July 2, at
9:30am, at Holy Faith Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations could be made in her name to the
Collection for those in need, including the poor, at Holy Faith, 747 NW
43rd Street (32607).
